About John

Known as the voice of the Montreal Canadiens, John is a play by play broadcaster for Rogers Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada.

The former Junior A goaltender has broadcasting experience both in radio and television at local and national levels.

Prior to the NHL, John spent six seasons in the American Hockey League, where in 2007, he was awarded the James H. Ellery Memorial Award in recognition of outstanding media coverage of the AHL.

Today, he continues to support the league by calling the AHL All Star Classic across North America. And as a strong supporter of women's hockey, John has been the national voice of the CWHL and the Clarkson Cup on Sportsnet.

John has hosted a wide variety of live sporting events on television including baseball, soccer, curling and auto racing all the while extending his hosting skills to several charity events and continues to act as a guest speaker to students on bullying and life in the media.
